we have reported the leaks on Nokia first smartphone Nokia 6 under HMD Global and today they have announced Nokia 6 officially in China without much fanfare. Nokia 6 will be available exclusively in China through JD.com in early 2017 for a price of 1699 Yuan (~Rs. 17,000 or ~$250). This announcement of Nokia 6 marks the first step for the Nokia brand back into Android smartphones with more to come in H1 2017.
Nokia 6 sports an aluminium unibody with hybrid in-cell 5.5 inch screen, with full HD 1080p resolution with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem along with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage and runs on latest version of Android Nougat operating system.
The Nokia 6 features a 16 MP phase detection auto focus PDAF rear camera for sharp detailed pictures, and an 8 MP front shooter. It comes with f/2.0 aperture lenses and exclusive camera UI with automatic scene detection. It comes with DOLBY Atmos support for better audio.

Looking at the specs & pricing though, many of Nokia fans may be disappointed. Nokia 6 is the mid range smartphone with not so aggressive pricing with just a decent SOC chip of Snapdragon 430. In spite of featuring 4 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 430 puts it into the league of entry-level mid range smartphones. The design and build quality though appears good, yet we would wait for getting our hands on with the physical device before making an opinion.
HMD global is yet to announce more details about the device or even the exact date of availability of Nokia 6 in China. At the moment, it seems that Nokia 6 will be available only in China and other models may be launched for other countries such as India. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated
