Lock installed Apps using password or pattern on Android: App Locker

Privacy is a big concern if you are using a Smartphone as most of your information is available on it without needing a additional login procedure as most apps are logged in. Most apps like contacts, Messages, Gmail, or Yahoo mail or in fact every other App can be seen by anyone who can access your phone even for few seconds.

Lock your Apps with App Lock

Today we will talk about a free Android App “App Lock” which can Protect your installed applications on your phone using a pre-configured password or pattern. When you install and run it for first time, it will ask you to setup a password and security question which is needed to manage it.

If you forget the password, then you can retrieve it by answering the security questions.

Clean, Simple GUI: Lock System & Third Party Apps

The App has a nice, Clean and simple user interface. It gives you the ability to lock any system App or any third party application on your system just by hitting a ON OFF toggle button. You can lock at least the Install/ Uninstall Application plus the Market Application, so that no one else can remove any app from your phone or buy something from the Android Market by mistake.

Similarly, you can lock Third party Apps like Google authenticator, Gmail, Browser, Camera or anything else that may have some personal or critical data or related to your private life.

Unlock with Password or Pattern

The apps can be unlocked easily by just toggling the button and you are good to go. As this whole process of locking and unlocking here is too simple, hence even a novice user can do that without getting caught in some typical technical jargon.

The unlock password  or pattern can be easily set by you. You can set either a password or pattern to unlock the Apps. Pattern locking may be easier if you don’t want to type the password. Both the options are quite good and you can use any one of them.
