Xiaomi has opened beta recruitment for HyperOS 4 in the Global and EEA markets, for seven phones in two batches. Three phones could apply from 10 September. Xiaomi scheduled four more for 17 September.
Which Xiaomi phones are in the HyperOS 4 global beta
The first batch is the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi, and the Xiaomi 17. The second batch, scheduled for 17 September, is the Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 17T, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Xiaomi 15.
The program covers Global and EEA units only. Xiaomi has not said when, or whether, other regions will be added. The China-only HyperOS 4 beta that began in mid-August is a separate program, so a phone on one list does not qualify for the other.
How to join the HyperOS 4 beta
Recruitment runs inside the Xiaomi Community app. Open the app, tap Me, then Beta testing, then Recruiting test, and fill out the questionnaire.
Xiaomi says seats may be limited, so applying early matters. For some beta versions, Xiaomi Account verification may be required. Filling in the form does not guarantee a place, and the beta only lands on a phone if you are accepted, delivered over the air.
Before you install
Beta software can have bugs and is not recommended for a daily driver, so treat it as a test build. Back up important data first. Going back to stable HyperOS 3 is not an over-the-air undo: it requires manually flashing the firmware, which typically wipes the device.
