Gionee Elife S8 is now listed on the Chinese certification site TENAA and now we know most of the hardware specification details. TENAA listing reveals that Gionee Elife S8 sports a 5.5 inch full HD (1080p) AMOLED display and is powered by an 1.95 GHz Octa-core CPU with 4 GB of RAM.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and comes with 32 GB of internal ROM / storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 128 GB.
Gionee Elife S8 listing reveals 16 MP main rear camera with LED flash & with 4X optical zoom and 8 MP front camera. Presence of optical zoom makes it another smartphone after Asus Zenfone Zoom (comes with 3X optical zoom) , which comes with Optical zoom instead of just the digital zoom.
Gionee Elife S8 dimensions are listed as 154.3 x 74.9 x 7.0 (mm) which means it is just 7.0 mm thick which is quite sleek and weighs 145 grams only.The listing also reveals the Golden color in which it will be available.
If you are following Androidpure, you will notice that the specifications for Gionee Elife S8 appears similar (except the optical zoom) to that of Oppo R9, which is already listed on TENAA. We will wait for the official launch of both these devices to comment more about this similarity.
