Galaxy Tab S12 India Pricing Confirmed: Sale Begins October 7

Samsung has confirmed Galaxy Tab S12 India pricing, and the two tablets go on sale on October 7. The Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at INR 1,29,999. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at INR 1,49,999. Both of those are the Wi-Fi models with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The figures come from Samsung’s own India newsroom. They settle a question left open when the series was announced without India prices, and later muddied by an unconfirmed price-hike leak.

Pricing and Availability

Both tablets will be sold from October 7 through Samsung Exclusive Stores, partner retail stores, Samsung.com and other online platforms. Every variant ships with 12GB of RAM.

Galaxy Tab S12+

  • Wi-Fi, 256GB: INR 1,29,999
  • Wi-Fi, 512GB: INR 1,49,999
  • 5G, 256GB: INR 1,44,999
  • 5G, 512GB: INR 1,64,999

Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra

  • Wi-Fi, 256GB: INR 1,49,999
  • Wi-Fi, 512GB: INR 1,69,999
  • 5G, 256GB: INR 1,64,999
  • 5G, 512GB: INR 1,84,999

The Pro Keyboard Cover is a separate purchase. It costs INR 27,999 for the Ultra and INR 26,499 for the S12+. That pushes a keyboard-equipped Ultra past INR 1,77,000 before any offer is applied.

Launch Offers and the Galaxy Forever Math

Samsung is running the usual launch package. There is bank cashback, an upgrade bonus for trade-ins, bundle discounts on accessories and no-cost EMI. Those are worth checking against the sticker price. What you actually save depends on which card you hold and which device you trade in.

The more interesting addition is Galaxy Forever, which Samsung is extending to Galaxy Tabs for the first time. A buyer pays a INR 12,499 fee up front. They then pay 75% of the device price across 24 EMIs. Up to two years of Samsung Care+ is included.

Run that on the cheapest Ultra. 75% of INR 1,49,999 is about INR 1,12,500, or roughly INR 4,690 a month for two years. Add the INR 12,499 fee and you have paid about INR 1,25,000. That is close to 83% of the full price. The saving is real, but it is smaller than own-it-for-less framing suggests. Read the end-of-term conditions closely before signing up. Whether you keep the tablet outright, hand it back to upgrade, or owe a balance at month 24 changes that math substantially.

Specifications

Samsung’s India announcement focuses on price rather than hardware. Both tablets ship on Android 17 with One UI 9. Samsung is bundling a six-month trial of Google AI Pro with Gemini. That trial is a trial: budget for the subscription if the AI features become part of how you use the tablet.

  • Software: Android 17 with One UI 9
  • Memory: 12GB RAM on every variant
  • Storage: 256GB or 512GB, depending on variant
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi only, or Wi-Fi with 5G
  • Bundled services: six-month Google AI Pro and Gemini trial
  • Optional accessory: Pro Keyboard Cover, sold separately
