Galaxy F70 Pro 5G Lands in India August 3, Samsung Confirms Specs

Samsung has put the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G on its Indian website with a launch date attached: 3 August 2026. The product page is live now, ahead of sale, and it carries a full feature rundown — Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED panel, a 50MP OIS main camera and a 6,000mAh battery — along with a promise of six generations of Android upgrades. What the page does not carry is a price.

Galaxy F70 Pro 5G India launch date and what Samsung has confirmed

Samsung India’s Galaxy F listing dates the phone to 3 August 2026 and points to a dedicated Galaxy F70 Pro 5G page with a Notify Me button. Sales run through Flipkart and Samsung’s own online store, the split-channel arrangement Samsung has used for its F-series all year.

The headline claim on that page is the front camera. Samsung calls it the “Segment’s only” HDR selfie camera and pairs it with a triple rear setup it also calls a segment first for including OIS. Both superlatives are load-bearing for the marketing and both rest on the same footnote: research by Classic Instrumentation Pvt Ltd, commissioned by Samsung, covering phones launched in India between January and 9 July 2026 in the ₹20,000–₹30,000 band. Samsung’s own small print adds that it “does not independently verify or endorse this study.” Read the claims as what they are — a narrow, sponsored, self-selected comparison window, not an industry benchmark.

Pricing and availability

Samsung has announced no price. The figures circulating come from a Flipkart microsite read before launch, reported by GSMArena: ₹25,999 for 6GB/128GB, ₹29,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹34,999 for 8GB/256GB. Indian outlets including The Mobile Indian independently report the same ₹25,999 starting figure. Treat the tiers as reliable but unofficial until Samsung confirms them on 3 August.

Colours are Aura Green and Alpha Black. Availability is Flipkart and samsung.com/in only, with no offline retail announced.

If the ₹34,999 top variant holds, the F70 Pro asks flagship-adjacent money for a mid-tier Snapdragon 6-series chip. That is a hard sell in a segment where ₹35,000 buys considerably more silicon, and it is worth waiting for the actual launch-day pricing and any bank-offer effective price before deciding.

Specifications

Everything below is from Samsung’s own product page unless noted. Samsung has not published a full spec sheet — no exact display size, sensor details or dimensions are listed on the pre-launch page — so a few widely reported specs are marked as such.

  • Display — FHD+ Super AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ with what Samsung describes as 2.0m fall endurance and 4x scratch resistance. 6.7-inch diagonal is widely reported but not stated by Samsung.
  • Processor — Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 with LPDDR5X RAM. Samsung’s footnote is worth reading: the memory “can achieve upto LPDDR5 performance levels only” with this chipset, so the LPDDR5X badge does not buy LPDDR5X speed here.
  • Memory and storage — up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, per GSMArena’s reading of Samsung’s page; three variants reported.
  • Rear cameras — 50MP main with OIS, 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro. 4K video with No Shake Cam, 13 shooting modes, Object Eraser and AI Edits.
  • Front camera — HDR selfie camera, reported at 12MP.
  • Battery — 6,000mAh typical, 45W fast charging. Samsung’s footnote gives the rated minimum capacity as 5,830 mAh, and states plainly that the 45W charger is sold separately.
  • Software — Android with One UI 8.5, Circle to Search and Google Gemini, direct voicemail and AI voice transcription.
  • Update commitment — Samsung’s page lists “6 Gen OS upgrades | 6 years of security updates.” That is six Android generations plus six years of patches, not the flatter “six years of software updates” some coverage has shortened it to.

The details Samsung buries in the footnotes

Three things on this page deserve a buyer’s attention more than the segment-first claims do. The battery is marketed as 6,000mAh but rated at 5,830mAh, a normal industry practice that is still a 170mAh gap between the number on the poster and the number in the certification. The 45W charging headline arrives with no charger in the box. And the LPDDR5X memory, promoted as a speed feature in Samsung’s own key visual, is capped by the chipset to LPDDR5-class performance by Samsung’s own admission.

The six-generation update promise is the genuinely strong part of the package and the reason this phone is worth considering at ₹25,999 even with a modest chip. A budget Samsung that is still getting Android releases in 2032 is a different value proposition from one that stops in three years — and it is the commitment competitors in this band still rarely match. Our look at Samsung’s shift to quarterly security updates on lower-tier Galaxy phones is worth reading alongside it, because the length of a promise and the frequency of its delivery are two different things.
