Galaxy Buds On Leak Points to Samsung Open-Ear Buds Without ANC

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Buds On, its first open-ear, loop-style wireless earbuds — and the leak that sketches them also points to a clear trade-off: they appear to lack active noise cancellation (ANC) and 360 Audio. This is a leak, not an announcement. The renders and details come via tipsters SammyGuru and ThatJoshGuy (@thatjoshguy69). No launch date and no price have been confirmed.

Without ANC, these buds would not cancel surrounding noise. Without 360 Audio, that feature would not be available. For a buyer who wanted either, that reported gap is the thing to weigh against the open-ear shape.

Leaked Galaxy Buds On design

Leaked renders show a style that loops around the outer ear. The aim, per that leak, is people who dislike the pressure of in-ear earbuds with silicone tips. Expected colours are Black and White.

  • Fit: open-ear loop around the outer ear, not a silicone-tipped in-ear seal
  • Charging: pogo-pin connectors
  • Controls: a flat outer surface for touch controls
  • Speaker housing: a rounded speaker section, described as being for better ergonomics

That reported missing ANC belongs with the design, not as a footnote: these are open-ear loops, and the leak says they also skip ANC and 360 Audio.

Reported Galaxy Buds On features

Code strings in the Galaxy Wearable app indicate support for the head gestures that first debuted with the Galaxy Buds 4 series. Other reported features in the leak are:

  • Auto Volume and Volume Boost
  • Bixby support and Google Gemini support
  • Voice recording that can be summarised using Galaxy AI
  • Sleep detection: automatic playback pause when it detects you have fallen asleep

Those items are reported, not signed off by Samsung. The same leak is the source for the absences: ANC and 360 Audio. For a buyer, that means the buds would not cancel background noise and would not offer 360 Audio.

Nothing here is official

Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy Buds On, the design, the colours, or the feature list. There is no launch date and no price. SammyGuru and ThatJoshGuy (@thatjoshguy69) are the tipsters behind the leak; treat the renders, the Wearable-app strings, and the missing ANC and 360 Audio as unconfirmed. If you wanted ANC or 360 Audio, wait for an official spec sheet before assuming these loops will have either.
