CMF by Nothing has launched the CMF Buds Neo in India at an exclusive launch price of ₹1,999, putting active noise cancellation rated at up to 35dB into a pair of earbuds that costs less than most people spend on a phone case. Sales begin on 26 August through Flipkart and offline partners including Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.

CMF Buds Neo price in India and availability
The ₹1,999 figure is described by the company as an exclusive launch price, which is worth reading literally rather than as the sticker price. Introductory pricing on budget audio in India routinely settles higher once the launch window closes, so if this is the number that makes the Buds Neo interesting to you, the 26 August on-sale date matters as much as the price does.
- Price — ₹1,999 (exclusive launch price)

CMF Buds Neo specifications
The Buds Neo lead on two things at this price: noise cancellation and endurance. ANC runs to 35dB across three levels, with an adaptive mode that adjusts to the surroundings, and the total battery figure is unusually high for the money — though, as always, the headline number is the ANC-off one.
- Drivers — 12.4mm dynamic drivers with titanium-coated PET domes and PEEK + PU surrounds
- Noise cancellation — Up to 35dB ANC across three levels, plus adaptive ANC; ENC on calls
- Microphones — Four HD mics, two per bud, with Clear Voice Technology
- Battery — Up to 11 hours per bud and up to 52 hours total with ANC off; 30 hours total with ANC on; 45mAh per earbud, 460mAh case
- Charging — 10 minutes for up to 5.5 hours of playback
- Connectivity — Bluetooth 6.0, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual-device connection, 120ms low-latency game mode
- Sound options — Static spatial audio, six EQ presets, custom EQ and two-level Bass Enhancement via the Nothing X app
- Design — Square case with a tactile circular dial in a contrasting colour, plus a lanyard hole
- Compatibility — Android 6.0 and above, iOS 13 and above
The number to watch is 30, not 52
Fifty-two hours is the figure that will be on every listing, and it is measured with ANC switched off. Turn on the feature the earbuds are being sold for and total playback drops to 30 hours. That is still perfectly good at ₹1,999 — the point is only that the two numbers describe different products, and the smaller one describes the way most buyers will actually use them.
The other thing to be clear-eyed about is what a 35dB ANC rating means at this price. Attenuation figures from manufacturers are peak values at favourable frequencies, usually low-frequency drone, and they do not translate into 35dB of silence on a Mumbai local. Budget ANC is genuinely useful for engine and fan noise and largely powerless against voices. Bought on that understanding, the Buds Neo look like a lot of hardware for the money; bought expecting flagship isolation, they will disappoint.
The Buds Neo sit below CMF’s recently launched Clip Pro open-ear buds in the lineup, and share the same design language of oversized dials and dual-tone finishes that has become the sub-brand’s calling card.
