Asus is set to announce some new products on January 4, 2017 at CES 2017 event. The company has teased a smartphone on its social channels. Today they teased a bit more with a tagline of “World’s best processor now fully unleashed the potential! ” indicating that the device is powered by the best Qualcomm processor till date which happens to be Snapdragon 821, though Snapdragon 835 is still in works.
Some more information popped up when Qualcomm accidentally revealed that Asus Zenfone AR is set for CES 2017 unveiling and one key detail of the device i.e. it is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. The revelation came in the form a blog post with a publishing date of January 4 and hence it seems that someone at Qualcomm messed up. As per the post, ZenFone AR is the world’s first Tango-enabled smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 821 processor and world’s first mobile device to be both Tango-enabled and Daydream-ready. ZenFone AR is the second commercially available Tango-enabled smartphone, whereas Lenovo PHAB2 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 652 is the first tango enabled phone that was launched in June.
And just to add up to this information, just few minutes ago the famous leakster @evleaks released Asus ZenFone AR smartphone Render which shows the device in full glory from front and back. The front of the device show a Home button at the bottom, probably with integrated fingerprint sensor too. The physical navigation buttons are also seen. At the back, we can see the main rear camera setup with dual camera sensors along with dual tone LED flash. We are not sure what the third column consists of n the main camera setup, perhaps it is something to do with AR based tango features of phone.
As the official unveiling is just two days away, we should wait for that. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
