Asus Zenfone 6 may be launched in India as Asus 6z without the Zenfone branding. The ASUS 6Z India launch date has been revealed. And yes, that’s what the dual flip camera phone could retail as in our Country.
The Taiwanese OEM was prohibited by the Delhi High Court, from using the Zen and the Zenfone brands for its devices sold in India. The court case is still going on with next hearing occuringsometime later.
Though this won’t prevent it from launching devices, ASUS may have no choice but to remove the words from the names of the phones. We could be looking at ASUS Max Pro, ASUS Max, etc.
The same applies to the Zenfone 6 which was recently announced in Spain. The device will debut as the ASUS 6Z in India, and it kind of makes sense considering its predecessor was the Zenfone 5Z.

According to a teaser page on Flipkart, the ASUS 6Z India launch date is set for June 19th.
ASUS 6Z India price (expected)
The Zenfone 6 6GB RAM variant has been priced at NT$ 17,990 in Taiwan. The Zenfone 6 8GB RAM variant carries a price tag of $NT 20,990.
Converting those to our currency, we think the Zenfone 6Z India price will start at Rs. 40,000 for the 6GB RAM variant, and Rs. 46,000 for the 8GB model. But given that the OnePlus 7 will provide some competition for the device, not to mention the impending launch of the Redmi K20 Pro aka Poco F2, ASUS could price the Zenfone 6Z aggressively.
