Apple Watch Ultra 4 launched less than a week ago, and Amazon has already cut its price for the first time. Select models are now $779.99, down $20 from Apple’s $799 list price. Apple Watch Series 12 is also discounted. 42mm GPS models are at $389.99 and 46mm models start at $439.99, each $9 off.
Which models are discounted
The Ultra 4 discount applies to specific band-and-case combinations, not the whole lineup. MacRumors tracked the price cut first. It listed the Natural titanium case with Sand Trail Loop (M/L) and the Natural case with Desert Alpine Loop (Large) at $779.99. AppleInsider separately confirmed more configurations at the same price. Those include a Black Titanium case with Translucent Black Ocean Band, and a Black Titanium case with Burgundy Alpine Loop Band.
Not every Ultra 4 configuration is discounted. Amazon appears to be rotating which case-and-band combinations get the price cut. If your preferred color or band isn’t marked down today, it’s worth checking back, since these listings tend to shift.
Why this matters for buyers
Apple almost never discounts its own products directly. Retailer price cuts like this one are usually the fastest way to save on a brand-new device. MacRumors described it plainly: “The new Apple Watch Ultra 4 just launched yesterday, and Amazon is offering the first cash discounts on select models for the first time since their launch.”
A $20 cut on an $800 watch is a small percentage, and it won’t matter to everyone. But for a device barely a week old, any markdown is notable. Both MacRumors and AppleInsider describe these as the lowest prices tracked yet on the Ultra 4 and Series 12. Amazon’s discounts on new Apple hardware also tend to widen once launch-week demand settles. This is likely the start of a longer pattern, not a one-off.
