Amazon’s Bee Frontier, a wearable that captures conversations and turns them into AI summaries, is on sale now for $74.99 at Amazon.com. A second model, the Bee Eclipse, attaches magnetically to the back of a phone. Amazon lists it as coming soon from $99.99, without a ship date.

Both devices come from Bee, the AI wearable maker that Amazon has since acquired, according to Android Authority. Bee’s earlier device was the Bee Pioneer. The new pair adds hooks into Alexa+ and Amazon.com, and that is where the pricing gets more complicated.
What the Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse record
The Bee Frontier is worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. Amazon says a microphone button controls when Bee processes audio, and an indicator light shows when it’s on. You can also set it to switch off automatically after a stretch of silence.
The Bee Eclipse is built for phone calls. It has a single on/off button and its own indicator light. Amazon says call participants are prompted for permission each time a recording starts. That prompt is Amazon’s design choice, not a legal guarantee. Call-recording consent rules differ by country and state, so check what applies where you live.
Amazon’s privacy claims for Bee
Amazon’s privacy pitch rests on a system it calls Bee Private Compute. The company says conversations are processed in an isolated environment that no one can access, including Amazon. On audio, Amazon goes further:
No audio is ever stored. Audio is processed into insights in real time and deleted after processing.
Amazon, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse announcement
These are Amazon’s claims, and androidpure has not tested them. Note what the automatic deletion covers in Amazon’s wording: the audio. For transcripts and summaries, Amazon says you can delete them yourself at any time.
Bee Pro: what’s free and what’s paywalled
Out of the box, Amazon says summaries, recaps and 14 days of memory are free with the device. A Bee Pro subscription is required for the Alexa+ and Amazon.com integrations. Pro also unlocks third-party app integrations and unlimited summaries, among other extras. The Pro price isn’t given in Amazon’s announcement.
Those integrations are the headline new features, and they sit behind the paywall. Amazon says Alexa+ can deliver hands-free summaries and to-dos from Bee. The Amazon.com link serves shopping recommendations. If you want either, budget for a subscription whose price isn’t in Amazon’s announcement. Alexa+ itself is Amazon’s upgraded assistant, which recently launched in India with Hindi support.
