Australian App Developer, Chris Lacy has released a major update for his launcher app, Action Launcher.
Version 2 brings a few changes, and of course the much awaited free version.
The biggest change in the app is the introduction of the Quick page which you can access by swiping from the right edge of the screen. And 1-Swipe, which enables the Quick drawer and aforementioned Quickpage from any app.

- Action Launcher no longer requires a purchase, and is available for everyone to use!
- Quickpage: a fully featured home screen accessible from the right edge of the screen.
- 1-Swipe: access the Quickdrawer and Quickpage from any app on your device, whether Action Launcher is running or not.
- Use Android 4.4’s dock and folder style.
- Translucent status and navigation bars (requires Android 4.4).
- Activity picker.
- A wealth of bug fixes and optimizations.

Now, coming to the free version , it is good but it is missing a few features, in-fact quite a few:

- Use icon packs
- Change the icon scale
- Change individual icons
- Hide apps from the Quickdrawer
- Use Shutters in a folder
- Change the widget used in a Shutter
- Change the Quickdrawer and Quickpage backgrounds
- Remove the upgrade incentives throughout the app
- Access to future features such as displaying the unread/notification count
