If your Pixel 11 Pro or Verizon plan came with Google AI Pro at no cost, you are on a trial. That trial does not include every benefit a paying subscriber gets. Google’s own help page confirms it for at least one perk, YouTube Premium Lite.
Google’s Pixel 11 Pro store page offers six months of Google AI Pro at no cost and calls it a $119 value. Its description lists higher Gemini limits, Gemini in Google apps, 5 TB of cloud storage and Google Health Premium. The Google One help page for AI Pro benefits sets this condition:
The YouTube Premium Lite benefit is unavailable until trials of Google AI Pro conclude and you convert to a paid subscription.
The same page says certain paid AI Pro memberships include the YouTube Premium Lite individual plan automatically. Trial members get it only after they start paying. Our September post on the Pixel 11 Pro offer listed YouTube Premium Lite among the perks without that caveat, so treat this as an update.

What a Google AI Pro trial includes, according to Google
Google’s help page is mixed rather than all-or-nothing. Here is what it says about trial members:
- YouTube Premium Lite: not available until the trial ends and you convert to a paid plan.
- Google Colab: one Colab feature is marked as unavailable to Google One trial memberships.
- Google Health Premium: trial members are eligible, so this one does come with the bundle.
- Gemini 4 Argon: listed for AI Mode and the Gemini app, with no trial carve-out in the copy we read. We covered Argon’s arrival for Pro and Ultra on October 14.
What the outlets report beyond Google’s page
Two outlets say the gaps go further, though Google’s help page does not list these items. 9to5Google reported on October 16 that AI Pro trials leave out Gemini 4 Argon inside Antigravity. Android Authority says trial users miss both Argon and Claude 5.5 in Antigravity. It points to Google’s Antigravity announcement, which describes that rollout as being for paid AI Pro subscribers.
Both outlets also say the 10% Google Store credit that Google One members normally earn is missing from free trials.
The affected bundles include six months with the Pixel 11 Pro and six months through Verizon’s AI Pro offer. Android Authority adds the 12-month trial that comes with a Googlebook and the free year offered to students.
Switching a trial to a paid plan
The routes reported so far are manual. 9to5Google says you either wait for the trial to end or contact Google to convert the account. Android Authority says trial users can request paid access through a Google support form. It adds that Google is working to make switching easier. Neither route is spelled out on the Google pages we checked.
Android Authority says it asked Google for comment and would update its story with any reply. 9to5Google says Google had not publicly addressed the concerns as of its article.
The gap between the pitch and the terms is the real issue. Google puts a $119 value on six months of AI Pro, and 9to5Google describes the plan as a $19.99 monthly subscription. A trial that holds back YouTube Premium Lite until you pay is worth less than that figure suggests. If one specific perk is why you picked a phone or plan, check it against Google’s help page first.
