The OnePlus 16 will charge at 100W over a cable and 50W wirelessly, and it carries four IP ratings topping out at IP69K. Both figures come from OnePlus’s own promotional poster, published two days before the phone’s October 12 launch in China. Charging speed and water resistance were the two headline numbers still missing from the company’s teasers. The poster also fills in the connectivity, haptics and build details.

The durability line is worth reading carefully. IP69K is a high-pressure, high-temperature jet test, which is a different thing from the immersion testing behind IP68. The poster doesn’t attach a depth or duration figure to any of the four ratings. Treat the badges as a durability claim rather than a swimming spec.
Pricing and Availability
OnePlus launches the phone in China on October 12. No price has been announced for any configuration as of October 10. Our earlier report on the October 12 China launch noted that India availability is expected in November. That remains an expectation rather than a OnePlus commitment, and no India date has been confirmed.
China buyers get four memory tiers and three colours:
- Memory: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB
- Colours: Tomorrow’s Star in grey, Martian Masterpiece in orange, Dark Forest in black
- Gift box: a bundle themed on the Chinese animated series A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality, a China-market tie-in rather than a global SKU
Specifications confirmed by the poster
Beyond charging and durability, the poster lists the hardware that usually goes unmentioned until launch day. The satellite and cellular support is the most market-specific part of it. Tri-frequency GPS, quad-frequency BeiDou and the n79 5G band matter mainly to carriers in China and parts of Asia. None of it is a selling point for readers in the US or Europe, where OnePlus no longer sells new phones.
- Charging: 100W wired, 50W wireless
- Durability: IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings
- Positioning: tri-frequency GPS, quad-frequency BeiDou
- Wired data: USB 3.2 Gen 1 over the USB-C port
- Cellular: support for the n79 high-frequency 5G band
- Audio: stereo dual speakers tuned by Master
- Security: 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
- Haptics: a new X-axis linear motor, with no further spec given
- Glass: Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass, shared with its sibling brand under BBK
The rest of the sheet is already on the record. OnePlus has confirmed a 9,000mAh battery and a 200MP main with a 50MP periscope. It has also confirmed a BOE X4 panel running at 165Hz day to day. Put those next to 100W wired charging and the picture is a phone built around capacity.
