Motorola has unveiled the Signature 27, a true flagship built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 platform. The reveal came at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, and Motorola’s own teaser page confirms the chip alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The company says more details are coming in November.
Pricing and Availability
Motorola has not announced pricing for the Signature 27 in any market. Its US page currently functions as a registration and teaser page rather than a store listing. The only timing Motorola has committed to in its own words is November, with no specific date inside that month.
That is the obvious gap in this reveal. Motorola has named a chipset and two camera sensors, but has said nothing about price, battery capacity or the display. Those are the three things most buyers decide on, so treat this as a teaser rather than a full launch.
Specifications
The camera hardware is the headline. Motorola is pairing a large 50MP main sensor with a 200MP periscope telephoto, which is an unusually high-resolution choice for a zoom lens. Two more rear cameras are part of the quad-camera array, and Motorola has not detailed either of them yet.

- Cooling: an ArcticMesh system with a vapour chamber Motorola describes as 40 percent larger than before, plus liquid metal, copper mesh and diamond-infused thermal gel.
- Finishes: Coal Smoke with a Tactical Weave finish, and Capulet Green with a brushed textile-inspired finish.
- Software support: reportedly seven years of Android OS and security updates.
- Audio: reportedly tuned in partnership with Bang & Olufsen.
The seven-year support figure and the Bang & Olufsen tie-up both come from third-party coverage of the reveal. Neither appears on Motorola’s own teaser page, so hold them loosely until Motorola publishes a full spec sheet.
A year-based name and a step up the ladder
The Signature line is switching to year-based naming with this model. The previous Signature used a step-down Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 rather than the 8 Elite Gen 5 of the same generation. Moving to the top-tier Extreme part is a real repositioning, not a naming exercise. We covered the confirmed reveal date earlier this week, and the phone has now landed roughly as scheduled.
