Samsung has begun the wider rollout of stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series, and the US is among the markets now getting it. The update started in South Korea on September 16 and is now expanding to other countries. It covers the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Who is getting One UI 9 first
In the US, the update is reaching One UI 9 Beta Program participants first. Anyone already running Beta 7 can move straight across to the stable build. Reporting on the US rollout points to a firmware build ending in BZID/TMB, which is a T-Mobile variant build. Users on the regular stable channel are expected to see the update shortly after, as the rollout expands in waves.
That staggered pattern is worth keeping in mind before you start refreshing the update screen. Carrier-branded units, unlocked units and regional variants rarely land on the same day.
Different markets, different dates
This is not a single global release date. Korea got the stable build a week ahead of everyone else. Samsung’s Thailand support page has listed September 28 for that market, as we noted in our earlier report on the timing. Samsung itself never described any of this as a delay, and nothing here amounts to a reversal of that Thai date.
The simplest reading is that each market is on its own track. Your date depends on where the phone was sold and which carrier, if any, branded it.
How to check for the update
- Manual check: open Settings, tap Software update, then tap Download and install.
- Beta users: if you are on Beta 7, the stable build should appear as a normal update rather than a fresh flash.
- Size and prep: a full One UI version jump is a large download, so charge the phone and use Wi-Fi.
If nothing appears yet, that is normal. Staged rollouts usually take days to reach every unit in a market, and there is no benefit to repeatedly checking.
