Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India, and it is an unusual thing to find under Rs 24,000. The phone pairs a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED panel with a second, smaller AMOLED screen on the back. That rear display sits beside the camera module. Curved glass at this price is rare enough. A working rear screen is rarer still.
Lava is positioning this as a premium experience brought down a price tier. Sumit Singh, Senior Vice President and Head of Product at Lava International Limited, framed the launch this way:

Pricing and Availability
The Virat Curve 5G comes in a single 6GB + 128GB configuration priced at Rs 23,999. There is no higher-memory variant.
Lava is advertising a launch price of Rs 19,999, but that figure depends on a Rs 4,000 bank discount. Without an eligible card, you pay the full Rs 23,999. The first sale starts on September 28, 2026 at 7 PM IST, exclusively through Flipkart.
Specifications
The hardware reads as a solid mid-range sheet with two things that stand out. One is the dual-display arrangement. The other is the durability certification, since MIL-STD-810H is not a common line item in this segment.
The software line is worth checking before you buy. The phone ships on Android 16, not Android 17, which matters if you are comparing it against newer rivals at a similar price.

The charger in the box is not the charger on the spec sheet
Lava lists 45W fast charging as a feature of the Virat Curve 5G. The adapter it actually bundles tops out at 33W. Anyone who wants the advertised speed on a 6,000mAh battery will need to buy a 45W charger separately. That is a real cost on top of the Rs 23,999 price.
It is a small saving for Lava and an easy one to miss on a spec comparison. Worth factoring in if charging speed is part of why this phone is on your shortlist.
