One UI 9 for Galaxy S25, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7: Samsung Thailand’s Dates

Samsung’s Thailand newsroom has published One UI 9 rollout dates for several more Galaxy series beyond the S26, going further than any other Samsung regional site has so far. The Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are dated for September 28, and the aging Galaxy S23 FE is dated to receive the update by October, according to Samsung’s own Thai-language announcement.

These are dates Samsung Thailand has published for Thailand. Whether they apply more broadly to other markets, including the US, India, and the EU, is not yet confirmed by Samsung anywhere else.

What Samsung Thailand actually said

Samsung’s post confirms One UI 9 began rolling out on September 16 in Korea, starting with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, and that Thailand’s own Galaxy S26 rollout starts September 21. From there, the same post lists September 28 for the Galaxy S25 series alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, and says the Galaxy S23 FE will follow by October. Samsung’s foldable flagships, the Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8, are already receiving the update as of this announcement.

No other Samsung regional newsroom has published this level of device-by-device detail for One UI 9, which is what makes the Thai post notable. SamMobile, which first surfaced the announcement, put the uncertainty plainly.

“Either that, or the dates correspond strictly to Thailand. It’s equally likely.”

That’s SamMobile weighing whether Samsung accidentally previewed its global schedule or simply detailed Thailand’s own rollout in more depth than usual. Samsung hasn’t clarified which it is.

What this means if you’re waiting on One UI 9

Samsung already published a US and India rollout start for the Galaxy S26 series when One UI 9 first began shipping. What’s still missing is any Samsung confirmation of specific dates for the Galaxy S25 series, the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, or the S23 FE outside Thailand. If Samsung’s global schedule mirrors what Thailand just published, owners of those devices in other markets could see the update within the same rough window. But until Samsung’s own US, India, or global newsroom says so directly, treat the September 28 and October dates as Thailand-specific rather than a worldwide promise.

The bigger pattern

Samsung followed a similar staggered approach with One UI 8, where the update reached Korea first and other regions followed days to weeks later. If that pattern holds again, buyers outside Thailand should expect their own regional rollout to trail these dates rather than match them exactly, and it’s worth checking your phone’s own Software Update menu rather than assuming a fixed date applies to you.

androidpure previously covered the confirmed start of One UI 9 on the Galaxy S26 series; these newly surfaced dates extend that rollout picture to older Galaxy S and foldable lines, with the geographic scope still the open question.
