Google’s own Pixel 11 Pro store page confirms it: buyers now get six months of Google AI Pro for free, worth $119. That sounds generous until you compare it with what the Pixel 10 Pro offered a year earlier. That phone shipped with 12 months of the same plan. Google has not cut the phone’s price to match the shorter freebie.
What the Pixel 11 Pro’s free AI Pro trial actually includes
Google’s product page for the Pixel 11 Pro states the offer plainly. “Unlock higher-level access to Gemini with 6 months of Google AI Pro at no cost to you ($119 value).” The plan bundles expanded usage limits in Gemini, Gemini access inside Google apps, 5 TB of cloud storage, and Google Health Premium.
Per Google’s own support page, Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold buyers have until October 31, 2027 to claim their six months. The Pixel 10 Pro line’s 12-month version of the same offer also includes Gemini access and 2 TB of storage. That older offer is still claimable, but only on purchases made before October 31, 2026.
The Pixel 10 Pro is still the better AI Pro deal, while it lasts
Google still sells the Pixel 10 Pro alongside its newer sibling. That leaves buyers weighing the two phones with a real trade-off right now. A Pixel 10 Pro purchase currently unlocks a full year of Google AI Pro. The Pixel 11 Pro, which starts at $1,099 before trade-in credit on the Google Store, gets half that. Google has not explained why the newer, pricier phone comes with a smaller perk.
The trial has a catch worth knowing before you sign up
Claiming either offer means opening the Gemini or Google One app and tapping to check eligibility. Starting the trial requires entering a payment method upfront. Per Google’s support documentation, the trial automatically renews into a paid subscription once the free period ends, unless it is canceled first. Buyers who forget to cancel end up paying full price for Google AI Pro just six months after unboxing a brand-new phone. A Pixel 10 Pro owner would have had twice as long before that bill arrived.
For anyone deciding between the two phones mainly for the AI perk, the math is straightforward. The older, cheaper Pixel 10 Pro currently pays for more free AI Pro time than the phone Google is actively promoting today.
