Verizon Drops Pixel 11 Pro XL to $5/Month on Its Priciest Plan

Verizon is currently knocking $1,119.99 off the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL, which drops the phone to $5.00 a month on a 36-month device payment plan. That is the headline number, and it is real — Verizon’s own product page lists the offer as promo4400580 with a $1,119.99 bill credit against a $1,299.99 retail price. The catch sits in the fine print rather than the math. The offer requires a new line on Unlimited Ultimate, Verizon’s most expensive consumer plan.

What the Verizon Pixel 11 Pro XL deal actually includes

The discount is a bill credit spread across the length of your device payment agreement, not money off at checkout. Verizon’s page offers the same $1,119.99 credit across four terms. On the 256GB model at $1,299.99, that works out to $15.00 a month for 12 months, $7.50 for 24, $5.00 for 36, or $3.75 for 48.

The $5 figure everyone is quoting only exists at 36 months. Stretch to 48 and the monthly number gets smaller, but you are financing a phone for four years. The 512GB model is also covered: it lists at $1,419.99 and takes the same $1,119.99 credit, landing at $8.33 a month over 36 months.

Verizon’s page states “New line req’d.” for this promotion. It is an add-a-line offer, not an upgrade offer. Existing customers looking to upgrade see a different and much smaller promotion on the same page — $800 off rather than $1,119.99.

Pricing and availability

  • Pixel 11 Pro XL 256GB — $1,299.99 retail; $5.00/mo for 36 months after the $1,119.99 credit
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL 512GB — $1,419.99 retail; $8.33/mo for 36 months after the same credit
  • Requirements — new line, Unlimited Ultimate plan
  • Colors listed — Obsidian, Canyon and Olive at 256GB; Obsidian and Canyon at 512GB

The offer is live on Verizon’s Pixel 11 Pro XL page now. Carrier promotions of this type change without notice, so check the terms attached to your own cart before committing.

The part worth doing the math on

A $5 phone is not really a $5 phone when the plan carries it. Unlimited Ultimate is Verizon’s top-tier unlimited plan, and over 36 months you are committing to it, not to the handset. Android Central, which spotted the promotion, estimates Ultimate at roughly $105 a month for a single line, falling to about $57.60 per line on a four-line account with AutoPay and paper-free billing. Those are estimates rather than Verizon’s own published figures, but the direction is right: the plan is the expensive part.

The second thing to understand is how the credit dies. Verizon applies these credits monthly across the full term, and its promotional terms state that promo credits end if eligibility requirements are no longer met. Downgrade off Unlimited Ultimate, cancel the line, or pay the device off early, and the remaining credits stop. You are then holding the balance of a $1,299.99 phone. That is the real commitment being asked for, and it is worth weighing against simply buying the phone outright if a cheaper plan suits you better.

None of that makes the deal bad. If you were already going to be on Unlimited Ultimate and were adding a line anyway, $180 total for a $1,299.99 flagship is genuinely strong. It is only a bad deal if the plan is the thing you are being talked into.

What you are getting

The Pixel 11 Pro XL runs Google’s Tensor G6 with 12GB of RAM as standard and a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. Google guarantees seven years of software support for the device. The generation’s most visible hardware change is the HiLight LED array arranged around the camera bar. Google has been shipping software for the line steadily since launch, including the September 2026 Pixel update.
