Which Galaxy Phones and Tablets Are Expected to Get One UI 9

Samsung has shipped One UI 9.0 on new hardware but has not published a rollout list for the phones and tablets people already own. Into that gap, SamMobile has assembled a projection of every Galaxy phone and tablet it expects to receive the Android 17-based update — and it is worth being precise about what that list is before you scan it for your device.

SamMobile is explicit that this is not a Samsung announcement. “The list above is based on Samsung’s software update policy for each smartphone and tablet, official communication or indications from Samsung Support about which devices will receive the update, and our understanding of the brand’s software rollout history,” the outlet writes, adding: “As such, this is not an official list from the company and should be treated as a reference.”

That framing matters, and it cuts both ways. Because the projection is derived from Samsung’s own published update commitments for each device, it is likely to be broadly accurate. But an individual model can still slip, and a device’s absence here means only that it is not on this list, not that Samsung has confirmed it is being cut off.

One UI 9 eligible Galaxy phones

One UI 9.0 entered beta in May with the Galaxy S26 series, and the stable release shipped first on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The devices expected to follow:

  • Galaxy S series — S26, S26+, S26 Ultra; S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE; S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE; S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z series — Z TriFold, Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, Z Fold 6, Z Fold SE, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy A series — A57, A37, A27, A17, A07; A56, A36, A26, A16, A06 5G; A55, A35, A25, A15; A54, A34, A24
  • Galaxy F series — F56, F36, F16, F06, F55, F34, F15
  • Galaxy M series — M56, M16, M06, M55, M55s, M35, M15, M54, M34
  • Galaxy XCover series — XCover 7, XCover 7 Pro
  • Galaxy C series — C55

One UI 9 eligible Galaxy tablets

  • Galaxy Tab S series — Tab S11 Ultra, Tab S11; Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S10+, Tab S10 FE+, Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 Lite; Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, Tab S9, Tab S9 FE+, Tab S9 FE; Tab S6 Lite (2024)
  • Galaxy Tab Active series — Tab Active 5 Pro, Tab Active 5
  • Galaxy Tab A series — Tab A11+, Tab A11, Tab A9 (2025)

What Samsung still has not said

There is no official exclusion list, and there is no published rollout calendar. If your Galaxy phone is a generation or two older than the oldest entries above — the S23 on the flagship side, the A24 in the mid-range — the honest answer is that Samsung has not stated its position, and a projection like this cannot supply one. The same applies to timing: recent Samsung upgrade cycles have moved flagships first and A/M-series devices over the following months, but nothing about the One UI 9 schedule for existing devices has been confirmed by the company.

Our advice is to treat the list as a strong indication rather than a promise, and to check Settings > Software update on your own device rather than relying on any list, this one included, for a delivery date. We covered what One UI 9 means for the Galaxy S23 — the oldest flagship on the list, and the one for which this is the end of the road — separately.
