Realme has confirmed that the Realme 16x 5G will launch in India on August 12 at 12 PM IST. The budget 5G smartphone, which succeeds last year’s Realme 15x 5G, will be available through Flipkart and Realme’s own online store. Pricing has not been announced yet — expect that at the launch event — but the phone is widely expected to land under ₹18,000.
Realme 16x 5G Key Specs and Features
The headline number is the 7,000mAh battery — notably larger than the 6,600mAh cell in the global variant. Realme claims up to 156.2 hours of music playback and up to nine hours of gaming on a single charge, backed by 45W wired fast charging, bypass charging for reduced heat during gaming, and reverse charging. The company is also promising a six-year battery health guarantee and a 60-month fluency certification aimed at long-term performance.
Under the hood, the Realme 16x 5G runs the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 14GB of dynamic RAM and 256GB of storage. A 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system handles thermals.
Display and Camera
The 6.67-inch display runs at 144Hz with up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. On the back, a 50MP AI main camera supports features including AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity, Motion Photo, and Dual-View Video recording.
Durability
Realme is positioning the 16x 5G as a rugged budget option: it carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance and has passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance testing. It will be available in two colors — Endurance Brown and Glory White.
