Vivo X90 and X90 Pro with Dimensity 9200 launched

Vivo has announced its latest flagship series in China. Let’s take a look at what the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro have to offer.

Vivo X90

The standard model in the series is equipped with a 6.78-inches AMOLED display that supports a Full HD+ resolution of 2800 x 1260 pixels. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour, 100% DCI-P3 Colour Gamut, 8000000:1 Contrast Ratio, a 20:09 aspect ratio, 93.53% screen-to-body ratio, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits brightness, a pixel density of 452 PPI, 2160Hz PWM dimming. The panel is home to an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo X90 runs on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 octa-core processor clocked at 3.05GHz, with an Immortalis G715 GPU. The phone has 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1/UFS4.0 storage.

Vivo has packed a 4,810mAh battery in the X90, it supports 120W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The selfie lens on the smartphone is a 32MP lens with an f/2.45 aperture. The main camera set up on the device consists of a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait lens that has an f/1.98 aperture, and supports 2x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a f/2.0 aperture. The phone comes with the Vivo V2 ISP chip for advanced low light image processing.

Connectivity-wise, the phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 2.4/5GHz, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Beidou/GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/QZSS/ and NavIC. The phone measures 164.10 x 74.44 x 8.48mm, and weighs 200g. Sensors on the device include an Accelerometer, an Ambient light sensor, a Proximity sensor, Gyro, Electronic compass, Rear Color Temperature Sensor, Laser Focus Sensor, and an Infrared Remote Control.

Vivo X90 Pro

The Vivo X90 Pro has the same display, processor, memory and storage options. The battery on the Pro model is a 4,870mAh cell that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

The main camera array on the X90 Pro consists of a 50 megapixels Sony IMX989 lens with an f/1.75 aperture, and a Zeiss one-inch sensor, it is assisted by a 50MP IMX758 portrait lens that has an f/1.98 aperture, and supports 2x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 64MP periscope lens that supports 3.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom, along with a Vivo V2 ISP chip, and an LED Flash. The phone weighs 214.8g, and measures 164.07 x 74.53 x 9.34mm.

Vivo X90 price in China

The Vivo X90 price starts at RMB 3699 for the 8GB/128GB trim. The 8GB/256GB model has been priced at 3999 RMB while the 12GB/256GB version costs RMB 4499. The top end version with 12GB/512GB carries a price tag of RMB 4999.

The Vivo X90 Pro price begins at RMB 4999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, the 12GB/256GB version costs RMB 5499, and the 12GB/512GB trim costs RMB 5999.
