Moto G22 with 90Hz display, 5000mAh battery launched for Rs. 10,999 in India

Motorola has just announced the Moto G22 in India. The affordable smartphone sports a 6.52-inches HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.

The screen supports 90Hz refresh rate, has a pixel density of 268 PPI, 89.03% Screen to Body Ratio, and a 20:9 Aspect Ratio. The selfie camera on the front is a 16 megapixels snapper with an f/2.45 aperture lens. The phone runs on Android 12, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHzm with a 680MHz IMG GE8230 to handle the graphics. The mobile comes in a single trim with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storagem, and a dedicated microSD card slot as part of the triple card system.

The Moto G22 supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Dual-band 2.4GHz & 5GHz, GPS, A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, Galileo. The phone retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The camera department on the Moto G22 consists of quad lenses with a 50MP f/1.8 aperture primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle f/2.2 lens that has an FOV of 118°, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens both with an f/2.4 aperture, and an LED Flash. The affordable handset packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.

The Motorola G22 weighs 185g, measures 163.95 x 74.94 x 8.49mm, and has a slew of sensors including a Proximity sensor, Ambient Light sensor, Accelerometer, Notification LED, Gyroscope, and an e-Compass.

Moto G22 expected price in India

Motorola‘s has priced the Moto G22 at Rs. 10,999.  The Lenovo-owned company is offering a launch offer instant discount of Rs. 1,000 off of the Moto G22’s price for the first sale, that is set to take place on April 13 at Flipkart. The phone will be available in 3 colourways: Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue, and Mint Green.
