The latest MIUI 12.5.6 Update seems to be buggy, as users are complaining that they are facing Poco X2 touch screen issues after installing the latest firmware. These are not the only issue in the update.

The affordable mid-range device was launched over a year ago in India, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730g processor.
The issues with the handset, first reported by Gadgets 360, came to light when users Tweeted about being unable to use the phone after the update. The complaints state that the Poco X2 touch screen to go dead, rendering the device unusable. It is unclear what is causing the display to stop working. We reported about a similar issue related to the Poco M3, which caused the device to bootloop continuously. It turned out to be a bug related to Poco Launcher.
Poco X2 camera stopped working and slow charging issues reported by users
User reports related to the Poco X2 camera app not working can be found on Twitter. The Poco X2 supported 27W fast charging for its 4500 mAh battery. Per the official documentation, the charger is capable of topping up the battery from 0 to 40% in 25 minutes. Some users claim that their phones are charging slowly after the MIUI update.
Poco is yet to acknowledge the problems with the MIUI 12.5.6 Update. Meanwhile, users who were affected by the problems have had their devices inspected by the brand’s service center. The technicians after analyzing the phones claimed that the motherboard needed to be replaced. Since the 2020 devices are out of warranty, users will need to pay about Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 12,000 to fix their Poco X2. To recall, the phone had been launched for Rs. 15,999 in India.
Why should users bear the cost of the repair that was caused by a faulty software update from Poco? This is not the first time we have seen OEMs shipping out poor quality updates, OnePlus recently drew flak for the buggy OxygenOS 12 update that affected OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users, and pulled the OTA from being seeded. The update was later resumed, after the Chinese OEM patched in some fixes for the problems.
