Redmi K30 Ultra with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, 4500mAh battery launched in China

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K30 Ultra in China. The announcement comes a day after the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra was unveiled.Redmi K30 Ultra coloursThe Redmi K30 Ultra is equipped with a 6.67″ Samsung E3 AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has a 5,000,000:1 Color contrast ratio, 800nit (HBM) / 1120nit (typ) brightness, 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, and supports HDR10+. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone has a bezel-less and notch-less design, and sports a 20MP pop-up front camera, that supports 120fps front slow motion, Multi-color notification light, and Drop protection. The Redmi K30 Ultra is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G processor with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB of storage. It runs on MIUI 11.

And just like the Mi 10 Ultra, the Redmi K30 Ultra too sports a 4,500 mAh battery and charges over a USB Type-C, port. But instead of 120W fast charging, the latter only supports 33W fast charging. The K30 Ultra features a quad camera setup comprising a 64MP primary lens with 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel, a 13MP 119°ultra wide-angle camera, a 5MP telemacro camera, a 2MP depth sensor and an LED Flash.

Connectivity wise, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6, 5G MultiLink, SA/NSA, Dual 5G standby, Multi-functional NFC and has an IR blaster. It will be available in Moonlight White, Midnight Black, Mint Green colours.

The Redmi K30 Ultra price starts at RMB 1,999 (about Rs. 22,000) for the 6GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 128GB version will retail for RMB 2,199 (about Rs. 24,000). The 8GB + 256GB variant has been priced at RMB 2,499 (about Rs. 27,000) and the top-end variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage will cost RMB 2,699 (about Rs. 29,000). The phone will be available for purchase from August 14th in China.
