The Mate 30 Pro sports a display with curved edges, which according to rumours is a 6.6-inch panel. Instead of a pop-up camera, or an in-display camera, or even a water-drop notch, Huawei has stuck with the now ancient long notch which seems to have dual selfie cameras along with other sensors.

It could be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The pictures confirm that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, and will rely on the USB Type-C port for audio, data transfer and charging. The first render could be an indication that the Mate 30 Pro is water-proof.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro visited benchmarking website Geekbench, and it tells us that the phone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor, with 8GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 10. It has an Infrared blaster as well.

The back panel of the Mate 30 Pro has a circular camera bump which has 4 cameras aligned in a 2 x 2 formation. A long LED Flash array sits outside the camera bump. The Leica quad camera setup comprises of a 40MP primary sensor, a 40MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 3D TOF lens. If you remember, the Huawei P30 Pro has similar cameras, but the wide-angle lens is a 16MP sensor.

The Mate 30 RS Porsche Design has a different back panel design with a Porsche logo, and a textured pattern that looks like leather. The cameras are placed in the long black bar with a branding reads Leica Vario Summilux H 1:1.6-2.4/18-80 ASPH.

Huawei is set to announce the Mate 30 Pro series on September 19th, so we don’t have to wait for long for the official specs.
