A couple of official Redmi Note 8 press renders have confirmed the key specs of the phone. The pictures were posted by the company on Weibo, here’s what they tell us.

This is the back panel design of the Note 8. The variant seems to be the White version (with a tinge of blue), and we can see it has quad lenses in the vertical camera bump, an LED flash is placed to the right of the lenses.

The wording next to the cameras reads, 48MP AI Camera. According to the message posted by the company on Weibo, the 4 cameras on the Note 8 consist of the following: A 48MP primary camera, a super wide-angle lens, a depth of field lens and a super macro-lens. So, where is the fingerprint scanner on the phone? It is there, but nearly invisible at least in this render. Allow us to point out where it is.

In a separate message, also posted on Weibo, Redmi has confirmed that the Note 8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. A previous announcement from Xiaomi said the company will be launching a MediaTek Helio G90T powered Note 8 and Note 8 Pro.

We only have to wait until August 29th for the Redmi Note 8 to be launched in China. And considering that the Realme 5 has already been launched in India, with nearly identical specs, we think that Xiaomi could rush to launch the Redmi Note 8 in India soon.
