The Google Pixel 3a and 3aXL have been launched globally. While the US gets to rejoice at getting a truly budget phone, the Pixel 3a price in India will draw frowns and laughter.
Here’s why we say that. The Google Pixel 3a price in US is $399 (about Rs. 27,800) and the Pixel 3a XL costs $479 (about Rs. 33,400). That’s pretty affordable in America, but even that would be considered a premium price for a mid-range phone here because we have Xiaomi, Realme, ASUS, Samsung doing a great job in that segment in our Country.
This is where things get super weird. The Pixel 3a price in India is truly awful.
Google Pixel 3A price in India
The Google Pixel 3a price in India starts at Rs. 39,999, that’s about $574, which is $175 higher than the price in the US. The Pixel 3a XL price is Rs. 44,999 which is about $646 or $167 more than its US counterpart.
The reason the prices are so high in India is probably because of import fees, but Google can easily fix that by manufacturing locally, just saying.

If the Google Pixel 3A price in India doesn’t deter you, read on. The Pixel 3a sports a 5.6-inch Full HD+ OLED screen, while the 3a XL has a similar but slightly bigger 6.0-inch screen. Both phones which supports always on display and have an 18:5:9 aspect ratio, with a notchless design that is slightly out of date.
The phones run on Android 9 Pie, and are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 3a and 3a XL are backed by 3000 mAh and a 3700 mAh batteries respectively, and support 18W fast charging. The phones feature a rear-placed fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers.
The Google Pixel 3a has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The camera department is where the Pixel 3a shines. Both models are equipped with a single 12.2 MP rear camera with a 1.4μm pixel size, an f/1.8 aperture, Autofocus with dual pixel pixel phase detection auto focus, Optical image stabilization, Electronic image stabilization and a Spectral and flicker sensor. The lenses have a 76° Field of View, and are capable of recording 4K video recording at 30fps.
the Pixel 3a has the same camera as the regular Pixel 3. But it does not have the Pixel Visual Core.
The selfie lens on the Pixel 3a and 3a XL is an 8MP lens with an f/2.0 aperture, 84° Field of view, fixed focus, and 1.12μm pixel width.
