Earlier today, we reported about the Mi A2 leak, and now it is the turn of the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android One. The word lite should serve as an obvious hint, that this is the lower end variant of the two, and it is, more than what you think.
The Mi A2 Lite looks like a modern phone, thanks to the 5.84-inch Full HD+ IPS display, which has a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, a 19:9 aspect ratio and yes, a notch display. Why the lite version has a notch and the non-lite one doesn’t is a mystery.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite runs on Android Oreo and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM. The device is equipped with dual cameras comprising of a 12MP Sony IMX 486 camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and 1,25μm pixel size and a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 lens. The selfie lens is also a 5MP camera.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android One sports a 4000mAh battery which charges over microUSB, and in terms of connectivity supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, Dual SIM cards. Unlike the Mi A2, the Mi A2 Lite does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone weighs 178g, and measures at 149.33 x 71.68 x 8.75 mm.

The Mi A2 Lite price starts at 899 Poland złoty (about Rs. 16,500 or $240) for the 3GB/32GB variant, while the 4GB/64GB model will retail for 1049 Poland złoty (about Rs. 19,000 or $278). In comparison the Mi A1 was launched for Rs 14,999 ($232).
Basically, the Mi A2 Lite seems to be an Mi A1 with a notch display and a slightly poorer choice for the dual camera and USB ports. Xiaomi has been releasing too many devices with the now dated Snapdragon 625 processor. Though the chipset is battery efficient, there is no reason why the company cannot go for the Snapdragon 630 at the very least.
