Vivo X21 with in-display fingerprint sensor certified in China

Vivo unveiled VIVO X20 plus UD sometime back featuring an in-display fingerprint sensor, followed by the announcement of Vivo APEX prototype with the maximum body to screen display ratio. It seems that Vivo is already gearing up for the next generation of Vivo X20 series as Vivo X21 variants are already certified on Chinese certification agency 3C. The certification portal reveals four variants of Vivo X20 without revealing anything on hardware specifications of these devices.

Four variants that are certified by the 3C agency of China are:

  • Vivo X21,
  • Vivo X21UD
  • Vivo X21A and
  • Vivo X21 UD A

From the certification, we only know the name of these upcoming models. Apart from these model numbers/names, the listing only reveals the charger of 9V/2A or 18W which suggests fast charging. The model numbers also suggest that Vivo X21 UD and X21 UD A will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor in the same way as that of X20 UD.

Even though we have no clue on hardware specifications of X20 series, rumours suggest that VIVO X21 series may feature a borderless display from Samsung, powered by upcoming octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor.

AT the moment there is no information on the possible official launch date of X21 devices. Vivo is set to announce ApeX in China on March 5th.
