As expected, Xiaomi has announced Redmi Note 5A at a launch event in China. Basically, three variants of Redmi Note 5A are announced with varying hardware specification. The standard variant is powered by1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU along with 2 GB of RAM & 16 GB of internal storage while the higher or premium variant is powered by1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU along with 3 GB / 4 GB of RAM & 32 GB / 64 GB of internal storage.
Similarly, when it comes to camera, the standard variant comes with 13MP main rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF & another 5MP front-shooter with f/2.0 aperture while the higher variant comes with 13MP main rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF & another 16MP front-shooter with LED flash, OmniVision sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens.
Both the Redmi Note 5A variants sports a 5.5-inch720p HD display and run on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) based operating system with MIUI 9. Both the variants are backed by a battery of 3080 mAh capacity.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is priced at 699 yuan (~US$ 105 / Rs. 6,700 ) for the standard variant with Snapdragon 425 + 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM while the higher variant with Snapdragon 435+ 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM is priced at 899 yuan (~US$ 135 / Rs. 8,600) and the Snapdragon 435+ 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant is priced at 1199 yuan (~US$ 180 / Rs. 11,500). The phone will be available for sale in China from August 22nd.
