We are just few hours away from the official launch of Xiaomi Mi 5X, yet the rumor mills are running at full speed. Just ahead of the official launch, a screenshot similar to “About Phone” has leaked on Weibo which reveals the hardware specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5X. We have already seen official teasers / Renders and a small 15 seconds official video teaser of the phone which reveals most of the design details or looks of the upcoming device.

Based on the leaked screenshot, Xiaomi Mi 5X sports a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. It comes with 64 GB of internal storage out of which approximately 54 GB is available to the end user. The phone runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat based operating system with MIUI 8.5 on top of it. The upgrade to MIUI 9 follows laters.

In terms of camera, it comes with a dual camera module at the rear consisting of 13 Mp + 12 MP camera sensors. The phone is backed by a battery capacity of 3080 mAh. The leak doesn’t reveal the RAM capacity but we can safely assume it to be 4 GB of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 5X is expected to be priced at 1099 Yuan in China though earlier rumors suggest much higher price as mentioned at the end of this post.

Earlier rumors suggest that two variants of Xiaomi Mi 5X may be announced i.e. premium and standard variant. Mi 5X Premium variant may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM, whereas the standard variant may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. The premium variant may be priced at 1999 yuan (~$295 or Rs. 19,000), while the standard variant may be priced at 1499 yuan.

As with any other leak, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
