Just two days back we reported that Xiaomi is planning to announce a new smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5X, thanks to an alleged poster of Xiaomi Mi 5X which also revealed some of the basic specifications of the device along with the price. Today, we have an official confirmation of the name of the device i.e. Xiaomi Mi 5X and the official launch date i.e. July 26. Xiaomi has just released the Invite teaser for the July 26 launch event in China which clearly states that 26th July launch date and reveals the back panel of the device.

Xiaomi Mi 5X officialAs per the launch Invite teaser, Xiaomi Mi 5X comes with a dual camera module along with LED flash at the back. The dual camera module is aligned horizontally, while the fingerprint sensor is located just a bit below the camera module in the middle of the rear panel. The MI branding is visible at the bottom, while the color of the phone seems to be the gold one. The Invite also reveals that Mi 5X will be running the latest version of MIUI i.e. MIUI 9 which will make its global début on the same day.

Xiaomi Mi 5X is not the first smartphone from the company with a dual camera module as we have already seen devices such as Mi 6, Mi 5S, Redmi Pro and Redmi Pro 2 that come with dual cameras at the rear.

Based on earlier rumors, Xiaomi Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with 4 GB of RAM and a  dual camera module at the rear. It will be available in China for a price of 1,999 Yuan ( ~$295 or Rs. 19,000). AT the moment, we got no information about other hardware specifications such as battery capacity or the camera sensors details.

Xiaomi has already a Xiaomi Mi 5C variant unveiled in February 2017, which is also the first smartphone powered by Xiaomi own Pinecone processor Surge S1. It sports a 5.15-inch display powered by Surge S1 Processor along and 3 GB LPDDR3 of RAM. It comes with 64 GB eMMC 5.0 of internal storage and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based operating system with MIUI on top.
