Motorola Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus are now Official

Motorola has just announced two new entry-level smartphones i.e. Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. These are the fourth generation Moto E devices with a new addition this time compared to earlier years i.e. We now have a Plus variant also in addition to standard variant of Moto E4.

Moto E4 is the compact device featuring metal design and comes with a 5.0-inch 720p HD2.5D cover Glass display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 / Snapdragon 427 (1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6737 in certain markets) processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. There is no mention of expandable storage support via microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) based operating system. The phone is backed by a removable 2800 mAh battery and comes with 5W/10W rapid charger. In terms of dimensions, it measures 144.5 x 72 x 9.3 mm and weighs 150 grammes.

In terms of camera, Moto E4 comes with a 8 MP main rear camera with f/2.2 aperture,
71° lens, Fixed focus along with Single LED flash and a 5 MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 74° lens, LED flash.

Whereas Moto E4 Plus comes with a bigger 5.5-inch 720p HD 2.5D cover Glass display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 (1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6737 in certain markets) processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB/ 32 GB of internal storage. There is no mention of expandable storage support via microSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) based operating system. The phone is backed by a removable massive 5000 mAh battery and comes with 10W rapid charger. In terms of dimensions, it measures 155 x 77.5 x 9.55 mm and weighs 181 grammes.

In terms of camera, Moto E4 Plus comes with a 13 MP main rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 78° lens, Fixed focus along with Single LED flash and a 5 MP front shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 74° lens, LED flash.

Both these devices come with Water-repellent coating for protection from water.

Price and Availability

Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus will be available in metal finishes beginning this month across various countries. Moto E4 will be available for $129.99 USD and €149. Moto E4 will also be available as an Amazon Prime Exclusive Phone. Moto E4 Plus will start at $179.99 USD and €199.
