Motorola is working on a new entry level or budget smartphones series as “Moto C” and seems to come with hardware / technical specifications that can be clearly termed as downgrade over their Moto E series. Thanks to the downgrade of hardware, it may be even cheaper than the Moto E smartphones which at the moment are the cheapest Moto smartphones available.
The renders & technical specifications of the first two devices in the Moto C series i.e. Moto C and Moto C Plus have leaked on the web. The leak comes from Androidauthority in the form of various render images along with a 360 degree video and the specifications of the device. In terms of design and looks, both the devices look almost identical.
As per the leak,Moto C sports a 5.0 inch display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, powered by Mediatek 32-bit quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz (for the 3G Variant) / 64-bit quad-core chipset clocked at 1.1 GHz (for the 4G Variant) and 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 8 GB / 16 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with a 5 MP main rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter with a front-facing flash. In terms of dimensions, Moto C measures 143.9 x 72 x 10 mm. Moto C is backed by 2,350 mAh battery.
Moto C Plus sports a 5.0 inch 720p display, powered by Mediatek 64-bit quad-core SOC chip clocked at 1.1 GHz and 1 GB / 2 GM of RAM. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd card. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with a 8 MP main rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter with a front-facing flash. In terms of dimensions, Moto C Plus measures 145.5 x 73.5 x 9.1mm (10.2 mm with camera bump). Moto C Plus is backed by a big 4,000 mAh battery.
Both models have rear-mounted speaker with a headphone jack and micro-USB port up top.
