Motorola Moto M XT1662 with metal body, fingerprint scanner passes TENAA

A compact smartphone from Motorola i.e.  Moto M is rumored to be launched sooner or later, thanks to frequent leaks. The release appears imminent as Motorola Moto M with model number XT1662 has appeared on TENAA, the Chinese certification authority portal. TENAA appearance reveals the model number and the smartphone images from front, back and sides.

The model is listed as XT1662 and is approved on 26 August 2016. TENAA is yet to list out the hardware specifications of the device and we can only access the smartphone images at the moment (via).

TENAA may list out the hardware specifications of Moto M in few days hopefully and we will update the post. The images above indicate that it comes with a full metal body along with main rear camera at back with laser focus and LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is located in the middle of the back panel where usually Motorola dimple used to be. The Motorola logo is placed at the bottom and Antenna lines can be seen at top and bottom. On the front, there is no physical home button.

Based on earlier leaks, Moto M is expected to be a compact device with 4.6-inch full HD 1080p  display powered by 1.9 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 CPU with Mali-T860 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage running Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with a 16 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front-shooter for selfies.

We now have more details about some of the hardware specifications of the device (via). TENAA has listed some of the specifications which indicate that Moto M sports a 5.5 inch display instead of rumored 4.6 inch display. It measures 151 x 75 x 8 mm and is backed by a battery of 3000 mAh capacity.
