We have seen many reports of the Moto G4 and G4 Plus, which is going to be launched in India later this month. And today the fill technical specifications of the phones were leaked.

Moto G4 specs 2

WinFuture‘s Roland Quandt reports that the Moto G4 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080P IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass, and so does the Moto G4 Plus. The phones are reportedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, but another Twitter user, Vaibhav Jain, claims that the phones have a Snapdragon 617 SoC, which is an octa-core processor with 8 x ARM Cortex A-53 cores. He also says that there is a fingerprint sensor on the front panel (likely on the G4 Plus)

In terms of memory, the Moto G4 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while the G4 Plus has 3GB of RAM 32GB of internal storage, and the SoC features an Adreno 505 GPU. There is an expandable memory option for micro SD cards.

The G4 features a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, and the G4 Plus has a slightly better 16 megapixel rear camera, while the selfie lens remains the same. The phones are backed by a 3000 mAh battery, and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.  Interestingly, the phones do not have NFC, but do support USB OTG.

The 4th Gen Motorola G devices have some sort of water resistant certification, like the previous gen phones.

Quandt also mentioned that the Moto G phones have the codename Athene, and the model number XT1643 (and xT1641) was spotted on Zauba.
