Androidone devices failed to take off as many of us would have expected when it launched. But consumers who bought Androidone smartphones will be delighted to know that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now rolling out to Androidone devices almost on the same day as it is rolling out for Google Nexus devices.
Users at Reddit have reported to have already received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update on their Androidone devices such as Spice Dream Uno Mi-498 and updated successfully. The file size for the update is reported as ~337 MB. If you remember, Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update took few months to arrive, so this is was unexpected. Check out the screenshot below that were taken after applying the update.
We are not yet sure if this update is rolling out to almost every Androidone device and will update this post when we hear more about it. Stay tuned.
