Huawei has just announced its mid range Ascend P8 Lite for the US market for a price of $249.99 unlocked and contract free. This is basically the cheaper version of Ascend P8 which is a flagship device with better hardware and a metal body, where as P8 lite comes with a plastic body & less capable hardware.
It sports a 5 inch 720p HD display powered by 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU and 2GB of RAM . The device runs Android 4.4.4 kitkat operating system with Huawei own Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it. In terms of storage, it comes with 16 GB internal storage along with support for expandable memory via Micro SD cards.
In terms of camera, it comes with 13 MP main rear camera with an F/2.2 lens, and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The device is powered by removable 2200 mAh battery. The device is just 7.62-mm thick.
It is a dual SIM device and comes with support for 4G LTE.
At the moment, P8 lite will be only available in US in white/gold or black/gray from Huawei own online store as well as sites like Amazon and BestBuy.
