HTC Uh-Oh Protection will offer a free replacement for damaged One M9 and M8 phones (US only)

Yesterday, HTC began teasing about something called Uh-Oh.

It appears that the Company is offering a Protection plan for its current flagship device, as well as its predecessor.

The information has been posted at the launch page, and you can read about it below. But in case you want to see HTC announce it live, you can watch the live stream too.

The HTC Uh-Oh Protection will offer a one time free replacement for your damaged HTC One M9 or M8, (or if you want to switch carriers) if any of the following conditions are met:

1. Cracked, scratched or broken screen.

2. Water damage or malfunction due to exposure to moisture, dampness

3. Carrier switch – If you want to switch to a different telco service provider.

The HTC Uh-Oh Protection plan comes free with every purchase of the HTC One M9 and M8 devices, purchased on or after April 10 and up to August 31 2015.

This offer is valid only for the first year of ownership of the devices, and can only be availed by U.S residents. Please read the full terms and conditions here.

If you do not use the plan during the 12 months, you can get $100 off your purchase of the next HTC One.
