Toshiba LED TVs with 4K UHD and Android 4.4, launched in India

Toshiba has launched some new LED TVs in India, which run on Android 4.4.

The TVs are equipped with some brilliant features which will allow the user to browse, play games and even mirror screens from tablets and phones.

The TVs have built-in Wi-Fi for hassle free connectivity and a web browser to access any page/website of your choice. You can install unlimited number of apps from Google Play and turn your TV into an Android gaming console. They also support game controllers, and are compatible with plug-and-play wireless keypad and mouse, so you can type and point to links on the TV.

The TVs are also compatible with Google Play Movies,so you can watch the latest Hollywood and Bollywood movies Full-HD or Ultra-HD, without a Blu-Ray player.  They also support Miracast screen mirroring which syncs seamlessly with your smartphone or tabet, to view pictures, videos and even games.

The CEVO 4K engine helps display four times as many pixels as Full HD to offer a stunning picture quality, regardless of screen size. The 4K RESOLUTION+ up-conversion technology will bring movies, games and pictures to life in ultra stunning detail. It can also convert Full HD content to near Ultra HD quality.

Other video features include:

  • Active Motion & Resolution Plus 3100 – Reduces motion blur, and optimises refresh rate, video processing, backlight technology and panel resolution.
  • High Dynamic Range (HDR) restoration technology – Restores elements that are lost during the recording process to improve contrast, texture and brightness.
  • Intelligent Scene Optimiser – Picture and sound settings are adjusted automatically based on the genre of the scene contents such as cinema, video games, photo viewing and music for the best viewing setting and an excellent picture performance
  • Intelligent Auto View automatically optimises picture setting in different ambient light conditions and provide a better and comfortable 4K viewing environment.

Audio features:

The 65L9450 & 50L9450 models use the Labyrinth Speaker System, while the 84L9540 uses the Bass Reflux Speaker system. They provide an incredibly strong, clear sound performance.

  • Audio Source Filtering technology -recreates a real-time audio environment by increasing the background sound.
  • Power Bass Booster – Increases the depth of the frequency, strengthens the clarity of the bass sound
  • Audio Distortion Control –Minimises sound distortion in high volume.

The Toshiba L9450 UHD 4K series is available in three screen sizes and are priced at:

  • 125.7cm (50) – Rs.1,99,000
  • 164.4cm (65) – Rs.3,69,900
  • 213.4cm (84) – Rs. 10,49,000

Toshiba L5400 Series LED TV with Android:

The L5400 is the lower end TV series, and are comparatively cheaper than the L9540 series.

  • 138.6cm (56) – Rs. 1,29,990
