Barely a Xiaomi has released a major update for the Mi 3 in India.
The new build is MIUI KXDMIBE18.0 is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and weighs nearly 600 MB in size.
Important features of the update:
- New – Added ‘Resend all’ function in Outbox of Mail
- New – Optimized online music page
- New – New version of Blocklist
- New – Incoming calls will only show in the Status bar during a full – screen task
- Optimization – Support recognizing time information in a message and adding it to Calendar
- Optimization – Optimized UI for extremely poor AQI
- Optimization – Click the ‘Not enough system storage’ notification will go to Cleaner – Advanced directly
- New – Added two weather types: Freezing rain and hail

Xiaomi has already begun seeding the update over-the-air. But you can manually check if your Mi 3 has an OTA available by accessing the Updater app in the Tools folder and selecting “Check for update”.
The update will also be available for other Asian Countries where the Mi 3 is available.
