Yu Yunicorn with 5.5-inch FHD, Helio P10, 4GB RAM, Fingerprint Scanner launched for Rs 12,999

Micromax backed Yu has just launched their new flagship Yunicorn, though it is just a mid range smartphone with Mediatek Helio P10 Processor but with 4 GB of RAM. Yu Yunicorn is priced at Rs. 12,999 and will be a Flipkart exclusive as we reported. The registration for the same as already began at 2 PM today i.e. 31st May 2016. First sale of Yu Yunicorn is scheduled on June 7, 2016 at 2 PM. But, Yu Yunicorn will be priced at Rs. 12,999 only for the first month and from the second month onward it will be available at Rs 13,499.

Yu Yunicorn sports a Uni-Metal Body with 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of  1920 x 1080 pixels and is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor along with Mali T860 GPU and 4 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, it comes with 32 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage via microsd cards up to 128 GB. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based YU own AOS (Android on Steroids) operating system.

In terms of camera, it comes with 13 MP main rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF  and a 5 MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens. It comes with 4G LTE support and a Hybrid dual sim slot which means that you can use either 2 SIMs or one SIm along with a microsd card.

Fingerprint sensor is embedded in the home button and hence it works both as a home button & fingerprint sensor. It also comes with FM radio and DTS audio.

Yu Yunicorn is backed by a battery of 4000 mAh capacity.
