It seems that Xiaomi itself is revealing different features of upcoming Redmi Note 5 before the official launch on August 21. Just yesterday, Xiaomi released the official press renders of the device revealing everything in terms of design. Now, today, we have another piece of information officially revealed by Xiaomi President Lin Bin, which says that Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will come with a 16 MP front shooter along with selfie flash. In addition to the 16 MP front shooter with selfie flash, the phone comes with different face beauty effects and self-timer feature. Putting a good front shooter camera along with flash puts it into competition with similar devices from other brands who specifically target selfie obsessed consumers.

The device has already appeared on Chinese certification agency portal TENAA with different model numbers. The official hardware specifications and pricing details of the phone will only be known when it launches. Based on TENAA listing, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD TFT display powered by 1.4 GHz Quad-core processor (MDE6, MDT6) i.e. Snapdragon 425 /  1.4 GHz Octa-core processor (MDE6S, MDT6S) i.e. Snapdragon 430 along with 2GB / 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB / 32 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based operating system out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 on top.
