Back on Friday, Mi India held a sale for the Xiaomi Mi 4, by selling it at a price of just Rs. 17,999.
This special price cut of Rs. 2,000 apparently saw a great deal of sales, which is likely to have been boosted by Flipkart’s attractive exchange offer.
Mi India announced on Saturday, that the Xiaomi Mi 4 64GB price cut is now permanent. So, if you missed out on the chance to buy the flagship phone, worry no longer.
Keeping our Mi 4 at the new offer that our fans love so much. Mi 4 64GB is now only ₹17999! http://t.co/ancpTjrtyD pic.twitter.com/iBaGuCyEOe

This move also brings a serious question to mind. The Mi4’s rival, the OnePlus One’s price has not been cut, even though they share similar specifications. OnePlus’ policy of selling the phone at its launch price in the Country, even though the device is well over a year old, is ridiculous. The OnePlus One 64GB retails for Rs. 21,198 in India, and the price is approximately $343, while the International variant’s price was cut to just $299 (around Rs. 19,100). But with the OnePlus 2 launching tomorrow, a price cut may be around the corner in India too.
On a side note, Mi India will be selling the Xiaomi Mi4i 32GB variant tomorrow, you an register for the sale at mi.com/in.
