Xiaomi Mi 5 to be sold through open sale from June 1

Xiaomi India has announced that it will be selling its flagship phone, the Mi5  through open sale from next month. The phone was only launched two months ago, and has been received warmly.

This, despite the fact, that Xiaomi only sells the 3GB RAM 32 Storage variant in India. Fans have been requesting the company to bring the 4GB RAM variant, but it has been to no avail.

Xiaomi will be selling the Mi 5 without registrations, or wait queues from June 1st, exclusively via its online portal, mi.com/in. There is no word yet, if other colours of the phone will be sold, for now it appears that only the White one will be available.

And what is more disappointing is that Xiaomi hasn’t announced anything about plans for an open sale for its best selling phone, the Redmi Note 3, which quite recently surpassed 6 lakh units in 60 days.
