Now that Google has announced the latest version of its operating system, we know what question you have. When will my phone get the Android Pie Update?

Here is a list of devices which are getting the Android 9 OTA Update in the near future.

Google has released the Android Pie Update for the Pixel devices. This includes the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Many users have shared the screenshot of the OTA update arriving on their phones.

The Mountain View company has said that devices which participated in the Android P Beta will get the update by the end of Fall 2018.

List of devices which will get the Android Pie Update

  • Essential Phone
  • Nokia 7 plus
  • OnePlus 6
  • Oppo R15 Pro
  • Sony Xperia XZ2
  • Vivo X21
  • Vivo X21UD
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

The Android Pie Update for Essential Phone has been released already, making it the first non-Google device, to get the latest version of Android, on the day it was released. And it includes the August security patches too. That’s what we call impressive.

Android Pie Update for Essential Phone

In addition to this Android One devices which qualify for the Android Pie Update, will be getting the OTA at the end of Fall. Google says it is working with a number of other partners to upgrade their devices to Android 9 this year.

The company is also working with Android OEMs to ensure that new devices which are launched will come with Android Pie. Could the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 ship with Android 9 out of the box? Is that why Google launched Android Pie earlier than usual? We can only speculate about this.

Where can I download the Android Pie Update?

If you have a Pixel phone or the Essential phone, you can just check for updates, you should get the update on your phone right away. You can also download the factory system images for Pixel devices from Google’s official website, and install them manually.
