Tecno Spark 8 with 5000mAh battery launched
Tecno has announced an entry level phone called the Tecno Spark 8 in India. Here’s what the affordable 4G handset looks like.
Display and Operating System
The Spark 8 sports a 6.52-inches LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a water-drop notch. The panel has an 88.6% screen-to-body ratio, 269 PPI pixel density, and supports 480 nits brightness. The phone runs on HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go edition.
Processor, Memory and Storage
The phone is powered by an octa-Core MediaTek Helio A25 processor, with 2GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and supports up to 256GB of expandable memory via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Cameras
The selfie lens housed in the notch is an 8MP f/2.0 aperture lens with an 80.6° FOV. The rear camera set up on the Spark 8 comprises dual cameras with a 16MP main sensor an f/1.8 aperture and an LED Flash.
Connectivity and sensors
Tecno has equipped the Spark 8 with a triple-card slot tray which supports Dual SIM cards, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, USB OTG. The device has a G-Sensor
Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and a Fingerprint Reader.
Battery, Dimensions and Audio
The Spark 8 is backed by a 5000mAh battery that charges over a microUSB port, and supports 10W charging. The phone measures 164.82 x 76.05 x 9.2 mm. In the audio department, the device has a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports DTS Stereo Sound Effect.

Tecno Spark 8 price in India
The Tecno Spark 8 has been priced at Rs 7999, and will be available from September 15th across retail stores. The phone comes in 3 colours: Atlantic Blue, Turquoise clan, and the Iris purple.
